A trip to Macau
Dampness settles on the tips of southern Asia
No wind can sweep away this gigantic structure.
The ship crawls on slowly, sometimes with a complete stop
Passengers patiently sip coffee from their paper cups.
A finger draws on the window glass and two hearts appear
Are the silver hair couple’s eyes brimming with tears?
The faint lines of the Tourist Tower suspended in the sky,
And we hold our hands tight and admire with a sigh.
Nostalgia roams around this small Eurasian city,
Its historical buildings permeate with exotic beauty.
The romantic courtyards hidden behind the bustling city,
And we listen to the murmuring fountain in tranquility.
The Macau Bridge extends and half lost in the mist,
Somehow symbolizes our love that unyieldingly exists.
