“Happy Phantom” by Tori Amos
Dedicated to V.L. who kindly lent me the disc by Tori Amos
To be a happy phantom and to be free
Is lacking of guts, to my point of view.
Why not in this world a happy living?
Even thu people think of you as weir.
Afterlife is ridiculously remote and uncertain
“Now” is the right time to be your own captain.
Wearing a mask is an ultimate sin.
As if you were a solemn soldier of tin.
Appear with a face amusingly severe
And speak with hypocritical morality.
We are all born in pure nudity
Only cowards hide for their safety.
You know, your true identity is so unique
So, with dignity you hold up high your chin.
